PENGARUH SELF CARE EDUCATION DAN PURSED LIP BREATHING EXERCISE TERHADAP TOLERANSI FISIK PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKSI KRONIS (PPOK)
Abstract
Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh Self Care education dan Pursed Lip Breathing exercise terhadap toleransi fisik pada pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruksi Kronis (PPOK).
Metode : penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi-Eksperimen dengan pendekatan two group-pre test and post test design. Studi Quasi-eksperimental dengan kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol, dengan jumlah sampel 20 responden pasien PPOK yang dilakukan pengukuran six minut walking test.
Hasil : terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik hasil pengukuran six minut walking test pre dan post pada kelompok intervensi (p<0,05) dan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil pengukuran six minut walking test post setelah 14 hari pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok control (p>0,05) perbedaan yang signifikan secara klinis pada selisih hasil pengukuran post test pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol six minut walking test >10.
Kesimpulan : terdapat pengaruh pemberian self care education dan pursed lip breathing exercise terhadap toleransi fisik yang diukur dengan six minut walking test pada Pasien PPOK setelah dilakukan intervensi pada kelompok intervensi. Diharapkan perawat atau tenaga kesehatan meningkatkan pemberian edukasi, melatih dan memberikan motivasi kepada Pasien PPOK untuk melakukan perawatan diri yang disertai dengan latihan Pursed Lip Breathing sebagai salah satu tindakan non farmakologis.Keywords
